Teaching with technology classroom
Technology plays a very important role in creating an efficient learning environment. The period of traditional whiteboards and notice boards is going to change with the progress of ICT (Information and communication technology). The vital part of a teaching methodology is the selection of the quality lessons to be delivered by the educators. Teachers therefore should employ teaching with technology. Teaching with technology creates classroom sessions which are informative, synergistic and exciting.

Nowadays, Classrooms are setup with ICT teaching products such as Interactive Whiteboards, Visualiser, response system, projectors and educational software etc. Teaching with technology is indispensable part of cultivating the students with proper skills in the global age. Many complex subjects can be learned with ease to a greater extent when teaching is supported by technology. Teachers have to use different kinds of teaching module to interrelate with students. Teaching with technology incorporates audiovisual aids that develop the inquisitiveness and memory of students. Employing teaching with technology in an effective manner will open up the loads of new ideas for teaching. Teachers are using interactive multimedia teaching contents with sound and video into their lessons. Teacher may bring a picture or draw a neat diagram on the board, but efficient learning still misses out. Multimedia teaching contents give the student an enhanced learning environment as they can experience the real phenomena and processes in a movie format. Teachers can write their comments using interactive whiteboards on their subject content and save it in computer that can’t be done through traditional boards. Document cameras are visual teaching aids for presenting an object to a large group of students. Document cameras are high resolution video cameras mounted on the arms to do visual presentations in the classroom increasing the efficiency of the lessons. The student can watch their teacher writing on a sheet of a paper or displaying a two or three dimension object onto the projection screen or the interactive whiteboard with the Document cameras. Audience Response Systems are an ICT (Information and communication technology) based educational assessment tool designed to build an attractive and fascinating learning environment that will enhance participation of audiences or students. Time has come to integrate Teaching with technology into the schools, colleges and universities for efficient learning and teaching.
